|
Who makes all the costumes?
I make most of them.
|
How long is the hire for?
Usually for a weekend.
That is, picking up any time from Thursday
and returning on Monday.
|
Do I have to wash the costume before
returning?
No, all costumes are washed here after return.
|
Is everything clean?
Oh yes, all costumes and wigs are washed after every
hire,
even if they aren’t worn.
That’s our guarantee of cleanliness!!!
|
How much does it cost?
Most regular adult costumes will cost between $70 and
$95 hire each each plus a $50 deposit.
(not including any discounts you might get, see end of page)
(Promotional type animal suits are $90-$120 p/day + dep.)
|
What's a "deposit"?
It's a cash security bond you pay on top your hire charge that is refundable upon safe and timely return.
|
Do you supply everything for the costume?
Mostly,
although not shoes, stockings or underwear. All other things you see in the photo's are usually included.
|
But don't some of the costumes need special boots?
We supply
boot-tops in those cases. That is boots that don't have soles in the bottom so you wear your own shoes underneath them.
|
Are cartoon pictures on this site a representation of the costumes?
Some of them are, if it is clearly indicated.
|
Can you fit really big sizes?
Sure, larger sizes are no problem. We try to have a selection in every size.
|
What if someone is two sizes bigger in skirt sizes than top sizes.
That's still OK, most things are adjustable.
|
What about children?
We have a children's range although it is not nearly as extensive as the adults selection.
|
And the prices for children sizes?
Usually $35-$55 each hire plus an equal deposit.
|
We need to get Medieval outfits but the men won't wear tights!
That's OK. Most of our Medieval men's costumes have trousers, check out the Medieval link on the Home Page to see the selection.
|
|
Do I need to book in advance?
No, it's not essential, but quite often it's a good idea. You can just come in and hire something on the spot.
|
So everything is always there?
Some things are very quick to get booked out even if there are several available. Sometimes new costumes are made for hire if there is enough notice.
|
Do I have to come in or can order over the phone?
You will need to come in unless mail-ordering,
which involves taking measurements etc.
Costumes are best fitted on the wearer, to make sure
you are comfortable because
every person is different.
Mail-ordering also has the postage/freight cost included, so coming into
the shop saves you that cost.
|
Is there a discount if we get two or
more costumes?
Check out our great discounts
and specials, there is a multi_hire discount. Try checking our discount links from the home page.
|
Do I need to make an appointment?
No, just come on down during opening times like any other shop and everything will be fine.
Click on the "Opening Times" link for details.

If
your LADY is resisting dressing-up My partner doesn't want to
dress up?
Women often worry they'll be stuck wearing
something too short, too silly or 'makes them look fat'. Too
Short : Even the cutesy/sexy outfits here
are not 'slutty',
they usually have enough length
to wear to a family party.
You can also get some heavy duty pantihose
to make you feel 'smoother in the legs'. Makes
me look fat :
Figure types always rule what is flattering or not.
Unfortunately, no costume can make you look 2 sizes smaller.
However, many can cover up wide hips etc.

Men often worry they'll be stuck
wearing
something
awful, embarrassing
or 'gay'
but there are many relatively
normal costumes
to choose from.
Gangster
Confederate Soldier
